The ability to adjust the seating system’s hip and back positions means Nicole has less pain and discomfort from having to sit in the one position for long durations. This allows her to be more active, and because of the decreased discomfort and pain, she is now less reliant on painkillers.

The ability to adjust the footplates to different heights and angles enable much more comfort and stability. Allowing feet and leg positions to be aligned to accommodate her individual medical needs and be adapted for maximised comfort.

The preprogrammed seating positions offer more than just comfort and pain relief. A medical condition requires Nicole to be sitting or laying in a safe position without the risk of falling for the duration of a medical episode. With her old chair, this would often mean having to transfer to a lounge chair or bed, and with the transfer process came the risk of a fall and often the need for assistance. With preset seating positions now available, Nicole can act instantly if she feels an episode approaching. A single button press shifts the chair into a safe recline position, providing immediate safety and peace of mind through one simple, intuitive action.

The sturdy M3 Permobil made her feel safe and confident in navigating bumps, kerbs and loose gravel terrain. A once difficult ramp at a local shop became safe and easy thanks to the M3’s power. After experiencing the Permobil’s power, stability and advance suspension, Nicole is more at ease and confident when challenged with loose terrain and obstacles.

Movement around the house has also now become a breeze, the mid-wheel drive providing optimal manoeuvrability. The ability to turn in tight spaces and corners makes getting around the house easier.

The seat elevation and active reach features of the chair provides Nicole with greater independence, especially the ability to now be able to reach the top shelf in her kitchen. With less dependence on others, the convenience is felt by everyone in the home. However, what gives Nicole the biggest joy is the ability to face off against her husband in a game of darts without having to adjust the height of the board… she has now reestablished dart dominance and continues her reign as champion of the household.
